The delivery truck leaves, and there it sits: a new appliance in the middle of the kitchen, still in its box, next to the old one that is suddenly your problem. "Delivery and haul-away" had conditions. "Installation" was an upsell with an asterisk. The last thirty feet of the appliance's journey, the part involving water, power, venting, and a cabinet opening measured by the previous owner, is yours.

Those thirty feet are where the risk lives. A dishwasher connected with a lazy loop in the drain line will eventually send water the wrong direction. A dryer vented with a crushed duct runs hot and long. An unlevel washer walks; an unlevel fridge swings its doors open on its own. None of this is exotic work, but all of it punishes improvisation, and the punishments involve water and heat.

Bleuwave Handyman does the last thirty feet for a living. We install dishwashers, ranges and cooktops, wall ovens, microwaves and range hoods, refrigerators with water lines, washers, and dryers. We disconnect and remove the old unit, connect supply, drain, power, and venting correctly, level and secure the new machine, and run it through a full test cycle before we call it done. If a cabinet opening needs trimming or a valve needs replacing to do the job right, we handle that too, which is precisely what a delivery crew cannot do.

A Phoenix note: hard water is unkind to appliances, especially the connections. Scale-crusted valves and stiff old supply lines fail at the worst moments, and swapping them during installation costs little. We check them as a matter of course, because the cheapest flood is the one that never happens.

Questions, answered straight

The store delivered my appliance but would not install it. Is that normal?

Very. Delivery crews are generally barred from plumbing, electrical, and venting work, and they will not modify cabinets or replace old valves. That is the gap we fill: everything between the box in your kitchen and a machine that runs.

Can you remove and haul away the old appliance?

Yes. We disconnect it safely, cap or close off what needs capping, and take it with us. The corpse of the old dishwasher does not need to spend a month in your garage.

Do you replace the hoses and valves during installation?

We inspect them every time and recommend replacement when they are aged or scaled, which Phoenix hard water accelerates. Old supply lines and seized shutoffs are the most common cause of appliance-related water damage, and swapping them mid-install is cheap insurance.

Which appliances can you install?

Dishwashers, ranges, cooktops, wall ovens, microwaves, range hoods, refrigerators with ice and water lines, washers, and dryers. Gas appliance situations depend on the specifics; tell us what you have and we will confirm scope when you call.

How long does an appliance installation take?

Most single-appliance installs run one to two hours including removal of the old unit and a full test cycle. Vent runs, valve replacements, or cabinet adjustments add time, and we will tell you up front if your job includes them.
